Job Title: Diversity & Inclusion Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Diversity & Inclusion Specialist to join our team at Group 1 Automotive. This is a key role that will support the hiring managers within our business area, providing pro-active and professional in-house recruitment support.
About Us:
Group 1 Automotive is a leading automotive retailer with over 7,000 colleagues across the UK. We represent 21 brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, and MINI, and operate 113 dealerships nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle from identification of the role through to on-boarding
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Advertise vacancies using our HR system, job boards, and social media platforms
- Proactively source passive candidates using innovative recruitment techniques
- Provide ongoing support to senior stakeholders throughout the process, advising on best practice
- Manage a range of recruitment activities, including CV sifting, telephone interviewing, assessment centres, and open evenings
- Utilize our global HR system to ensure all information is kept up to date for the team and candidates
- Actively promote and encourage workforce diversity at all levels of recruitment
What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
- Source and attract diverse talent for our businesses
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding
Helpful Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous recruitment experience, either in-house or agency
- Understanding of headhunting and talent pooling
- Experience working with an ATS or HR system
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
