Senior Vice President, UK Accounting and Statutory Reporting Specialist

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President to join our Accounting Team in Manchester, UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the statutory accounting process for our 30+ UK banking and asset management entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a centralized approach to statutory accounting, ensuring tight governance over accounting interpretations.
- Collaborate with the Technical Accounting Group to address complex accounting issues and deliver training to Controllers and finance teams.
- Ensure high-quality financial statements that meet stakeholder expectations.
- Implement new accounting standards and drive efficiency and standardization in the statutory accounting process.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience.
- Financial services experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Proven track record in translating accounting theory into practical application.
- Project management and outsourcing experience desirable.
