Overview

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President to lead our UK Accounting and Statutory Reporting team. As a key member of our Accounting Team, you will be responsible for managing the statutory accounting process for our 30+ UK banking and asset management entities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a centralized approach to statutory accounting, ensuring tight governance over accounting interpretations.
  2. Collaborate with the Technical Accounting Group to address complex accounting issues and deliver training to Controllers and finance teams.
  3. Ensure high-quality financial statements that meet stakeholder expectations.
  4. Implement new accounting standards and drive efficiency and standardization in the statutory accounting process.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with audit experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing change.
