Project Description

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team at Milton Keynes East (MKE) where we are responsible for the highways infrastructure improvements that will increase transport capacity and resilience.

The project will require a new 54m two-span bridge over the M1 motorway as well as a programme to deliver several other bridges and underpasses, new roads, widen existing carriageways, and create walking and cycling routes.

Responsibilities

  • Sole responsibility for a project, section of a project.
  • All Senior Quantity Surveying duties including; measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections.
  • Preparation and management of interim applications for payment and agreeing certifications.
  • Draft, manage and settle subcontracts.

Requirements

  • Autonomously delivered a small to medium project or performed a support role to a commercial manager/senior commercial manager on a larger project and/or managed an area (£25m) of a larger project.
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
  • BSc(Hons) MRICS.
