Transport Controller

We are seeking a skilled Transport Controller to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of patients across various destinations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate daily and future bookings within our Cleric controlling system, ensuring accurate resourcing and communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Dispatch and manage operational crews to achieve timely and efficient collection and delivery of patients, while meeting contractual targets.
- Receive and respond to patient transport requests and queries in a professional and polite manner, ensuring compliance with relevant service procedures and standing orders.
- Perform general clerical duties, including data input, form completion, and invoice processing as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance the performance and quality of service offered to patients and customers.
- Deal promptly and professionally with all telephone calls, taking appropriate action on own initiative where required, and liaising with other agencies such as GPs, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics, and Wards.
- Maintain patient flow across all control areas through effective liaison with colleagues and hospital staff, and prompt resolution of urgent problems and appropriate responses to unplanned events.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, gained from experience of dealing with customers or members of the public.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and problem-solve.
- Good organisational skills.
