Job Title: Senior Town Planner

Location: Rugby

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Town Planner to join Penguin Recruitment and work on high-profile residential and commercial projects, driving them through the planning system from initial promotion to securing planning permissions.

Role Purpose:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will lead the strategic promotion of land through the Local Plan process, managing planning applications and appeals, and collaborating with stakeholders to maximize the potential of development sites. Your expertise in planning and development will be crucial in shaping key projects and securing successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Land Promotion: Lead the promotion of sites through the planning process to secure allocations for housing and commercial developments.
  • Planning Applications: Prepare, submit, and negotiate planning applications, ensuring compliance with planning policies and strategies.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct thorough site appraisals, identifying opportunities and constraints to inform planning strategies.
  • Reserved Matters & Discharge of Conditions: Oversee the management of Reserved Matters applications and ensure the timely discharge of planning conditions.
  • Consultant Management: Appoint and manage external consultants including planning, design, and environmental experts to deliver high-quality outcomes.
