Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a SEND school in Islington. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting children aged 11-16 who have a primary diagnosis of social, emotional, mental health (SEMH).

In this dynamic and inclusive environment, you will inspire children to learn and develop, using your knowledge and expertise to promote positive behaviour and attitudes. You will work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals to develop tailored support plans for each child.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEMH needs, with experience in adapting their approach to meet the individual requirements of each child. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support children aged 11-16 with SEMH needs
  2. Develop and implement behaviour management strategies
  3. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored support plans
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree in Education or related field
