About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our rotational team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates or experienced band 5s to broaden their knowledge in a range of specialties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered, caring therapy services to patients in the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital.
  • Be professionally responsible for all aspects of your work, including the therapeutic management of patients in your care.
  • Use your occupational therapy knowledge and skills to provide support and advice to the multidisciplinary team and manage your own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Deliver a high-quality, effective, and efficient occupational therapy service in the therapy team.
  • Contribute to service development as a member of the therapy department team.
  • Deputise for the Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist as required.

Requirements

  • A degree or other recognized qualification in occupational therapy.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • IT skills, including email.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc OT.
  • Member of BAOT.
  • Training and presentation skills.

Essential Experience

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of 3 or more different areas of occupational therapy practice (can be practice placements).

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in an acute general hospital.
  • Experience working in an NHS healthcare setting.
