Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to adults with personality disorders, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions and support individuals to achieve their goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and formulate treatment plans for individuals with personality disorders, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver specialist psychological interventions.
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions, including assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention, to individuals with personality disorders.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver a comprehensive service, including individual and group therapy sessions, and contribute to the development of new services and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy services, including the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, including occupational therapists and therapy assistants, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral level training in occupational therapy or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an occupational therapist.
  • Experience of working with adults with personality disorders, including assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and carers.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of service users.
