About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of motor underwriting experience, with a strong knowledge of motor insurance products, processes, and underwriting principles. They will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively or independently as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite personal motor insurance policies within established guidelines and authority levels.
- Provide quotes, underwrite new business, and renew existing policies, while negotiating pricing where appropriate.
- Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, offering technical expertise and ensuring high-quality service.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing queries efficiently and ensuring timely and accurate policy documentation.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Claims, Finance, and IT to ensure smooth policy management and process improvement.
About You:
- A strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements is essential for this role.
- A CII qualification is desirable but not essential.
