Job Overview:

Building Careers UK is seeking a skilled Construction Health Advisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced health and safety professional to contribute to the success of our business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of health and safety standards on our construction sites. With a strong background in health and safety, you will be expected to make regular site visits to conduct safety audits and inspections, compile safety reports for management, and develop effective policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making regular site visits to conduct safety audits and inspections
  • Compiling safety reports for management
  • Liaising with Contract Managers and making recommendations on safe working practices
  • Attending monthly meetings and providing feedback and highlighting any trends
  • Working with the Contract Manager to develop risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
  • Carrying out and recording incident investigations
  • Developing effective policies and procedures and ensuring they remain updated
  • Training operatives on a regular basis and conducting toolbox talks
  • Advising managers and HR on HSE matters

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification and in-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant health and safety laws.

A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to engage and influence at all levels within the organization. Your proactive and solution-focused mindset, combined with your attention to detail, will enable you to make a positive impact on our business.

Salary and Benefits:
