About the Role:

K and D Recruitment are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join their expanding team. This national role requires regular travel between the company's six depot locations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting health and safety excellence within a dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement effective health and safety plans across all locations.
  • To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by evaluating practices, facilities, and enforcing policies.
  • To conduct training sessions on health and safety procedures.
  • To monitor ongoing compliance and investigate accidents or incidents, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • To maintain accurate records of health and safety performance.
  • To oversee the implementation and compliance of all health and safety and environmental policies.
  • To provide strategic guidance on health and safety matters.
  • To centralise and standardise health and safety procedures.
  • To manage the training matrix across the group, including certifications like Forklift/IPAF.
  • To ensure compliance for health and safety audits, including ISO standards.

Qualifications and Attributes:

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent H&S certification, possess a full driving license, and have strong drive and enthusiasm to promote a positive health and safety culture.

A logical thinker with a methodical approach, taking full responsibility for tasks and projects, will thrive in this role.

Salary Information:

Circa £45-50k per annum, inclusive of company vehicle.
