We are seeking a skilled Software Installation Specialist to join our team at PSI Metals.

About the Role:

As a Software Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and configuring PSI and third-party software in various customer and PSI environments. You will plan and coordinate installations with customers and internal teams, and enhance the installation process through automation, improved documentation, and DevOps methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure PSI and third-party software in customer and PSI environments
  • Plan and coordinate installations with customers and internal teams
  • Enhance the installation process through automation, improved documentation, and DevOps methodologies and tools
  • Work with Linux environments, including basic bash scripting, and Windows Server administration, including basic batch scripting
  • Develop a solid understanding of scripting and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to ensure effective communication and coordination

Requirements:

  • Experience with Linux environments and Windows Server administration
  • Strong understanding of scripting and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Familiarity with Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and containerization technologies like Docker
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Good customer management and IT skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt
