Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Practitioner to join our North Lanarkshire Alcohol and other Drugs Crisis Outreach Service. As a key member of our team, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
  • Deliver a range of harm reduction interventions, including injecting equipment and overdose awareness.
  • Work collaboratively with health, social care staff, and admin staff to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and other professionals to ensure a person-centered approach.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans and strategies to reduce harm and promote recovery.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of substance abuse and crisis intervention principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT skills required.
  • Registration with the SSSC within 6 months of start date (where applicable).
