Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Progress Tutor to deliver tutorial support and professional skills development to students at Suffolk New College.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of motivating and inspiring young people, setting clear targets and monitoring progress to ensure students have the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide group and one-to-one tutorial support to students, delivering sessions on resilience, health and well-being, life skills, British Values, e-Safety, careers and employability, and preparation for further study.
- To work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver curriculum content that meets the needs of students.
- To monitor student progress, set targets and provide feedback to help students achieve their goals.
Requirements
- A level 3 qualification with literacy and numeracy to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4/C).
- A teaching qualification or a commitment to attaining one within a specified timeframe.
Working Conditions
This post is based at our Ipswich campus, with the possibility of working at and travelling between campuses. We promote a culture of inclusivity and support where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.
Salary Information
The salary for this role is estimated to be in the range of £23,448 to £27,957 per annum, pro rata if part-time. This reflects the level of responsibility and expertise required for the position.
