Compliance Specialist for Educational Compliance

The Harris Academy South Quadrant is a group of academies working together to provide education and support to students in the London area.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to lead on compliance work across the South Quadrant, ensuring all academies are compliant with statutory requirements at all times. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contributing to the success of our students and schools.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on compliance work across the South Quadrant, ensuring alignment with national standards and guidelines.
- Support specialist staff in each academy, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance compliance knowledge and skills across the quadrant.
- Liaise with the Federation central team on behalf of academies within the South Quadrant.
- Quadrant FSM/Pupil Premium Compliance: Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of pupil premium funding.
- Quadrant Medical & First Aid Compliance: Develop and implement policies and procedures for medical and first aid compliance.
- Quadrant Asset and Contract Register Compliance: Maintain accurate records of assets and contracts across the quadrant.
- Quadrant Heath & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, developing policies and procedures as needed.
- Quadrant Data Protection Compliance: Implement data protection policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
- Safer Recruitment Procedures and Single Central Record: Develop and maintain safer recruitment practices and single central record systems.
- Project Management across the quadrant: Coordinate and manage projects to ensure timely completion and effective outcomes.
- Lettings across the Quadrant: Manage lettings operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in an office environment.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of managing a team.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft software packages.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Secure knowledge of human resources legislation.
- Familiarity with financial procedures.
- Knowledge of procurement processes.
We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a performance-related bonus and access to a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme with generous employer contributions.
