About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee our independent retirement housing developments in the Kent region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class management service, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieving targeted profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Visiting developments regularly to develop customer relationships with external landlords and residents
  • Supporting a team of Lodge Managers to ensure seamless operations
  • Controlling expenditure, producing budgets, and accounts for presentation to lessees
  • Negotiating with contractors and overseeing their performance
  • Supporting team development, conducting performance reviews, and leading recruitment processes

The role is based from home with extensive travel across the Kent region. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (9:00 am - 5:30 pm) and Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm).

About You

We are looking for a confident, friendly, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and experience in property management. You will be able to handle conflict, problem-solve, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Key requirements include:

  • Proven management experience in leasehold property management
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office applications
  • Good working knowledge of leasehold property management and building structures
  • Recognised property management qualification (RICS or IRPM) and membership
  • Full UK Driving Licence
