Job Title: CHC Senior Clinical Team Officer

About the Role:

The CHC Senior Clinical Team Officer will be responsible for managing a clinical team, ensuring that they work in accordance with the latest statutory requirements and best practices. The successful candidate will have experience in case management, team leadership, and risk management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team's business plan, progress, and reporting.
  • Liaise with ICB functions and stakeholders.
  • Case management across all age Continuing Healthcare.
  • Lead the coordination of training and development, and recruitment activity.
  • Other duties as reasonably required by the line manager.

Person Specification:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification.
  • Qualification in nursing, social work, or other relevant qualification.
  • Experience of working knowledge of National Frameworks for Continuing Healthcare (CHC Adults).
  • Experience of case management in CHC.
  • Experience of leading a team of assessors.
  • Experience of investigating complaints.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with NHS, Local Authority, and Independent Stakeholders.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence.
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.

Desirable:

  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the public sector.
  • Knowledge of project principles, techniques, and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project.
