About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled midwife to join our team as a Band 7 Clinical and Operational Manager. This is a unique opportunity to take on a dual role, combining clinical expertise with operational leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a dual role as both a clinical and operational manager, overseeing the midwifery and nursing staff, flow, and resources within the ward/department areas.
  • Review capacity within the unit on a daily basis and support midwives in effective and efficient discharge and acuity.
  • Redeploy staff to cover service needs and maintain clinical practice.

Requirements
  • NMC Registered Midwife with substantial experience.
  • Prescriber or willingness to undertake and complete prescribing course within 2 years.
  • NIPE trained or currently taking the course for QBC/PNW/ANW posts. Willingness to undertake NIPE training for Triage post within 12 months.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in midwifery, with experience in clinical and operational leadership. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
