Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Global Edge Group's Ethylene Plant in Fife, Scotland.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the site's transformation roadmap, delivering world-class maintenance while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the First Line Supervisor to enhance safety capacity using Personal Safety Management System tools.
- Tackle various mechanical maintenance challenges with resilience, ownership, and innovative solutions.
- Partner with the operations team to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
- Provide input during planning phases and After Action Reviews to continuously improve processes.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to prevent recurrence.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Completed an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in a Mechanical trade (an HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous).
- Possessed experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate field conditions and recommend solutions.
- Been adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Showed a passion for eliminating waste in maintenance processes and driving continuous improvement.
- Been proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with SAP experience being advantageous.
- Adapted effectively to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities, including the flexibility to work out of hours when required.
- A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
