Caring Team Lead for Long-Term Care Facility

We're seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Caring Team Lead for our long-term care facility in Hertfordshire. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality personal care to our residents while inspiring, developing, and nurturing our care team to be their best every day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a unit with confidence and expertise
  • Supporting clinical duties, including observing, administering medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records
  • Managing a team of Care Assistants, including coordinating shift handovers and ensuring seamless communication
  • Providing training and supervision to new staff members to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH RESIDENTS, THEIR FAMILIES, AND EXTERNAL PARTNERS LIKE GPs AND DISTRICT NURSES
  • Assisting residents with various personal care tasks

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • A completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care qualification – we're happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed
  • Motivation, positivity, and excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional care
  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, with knowledge of its rewards and challenges
