About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician to join our team in Acute Medicine at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in Acute Internal Medicine, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective treatment.
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and systems to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to educational programs for junior medical staff, including teaching sessions and clinical audits.
  • Collaborate with our Frailty team to support the development of a comprehensive Acute Medical Pathway.

Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice.
  • On the Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Acute Medicine and general internal medicine or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview.
