About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Physician to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Acute Medicine service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Acute Medicine team
  • Develop and implement effective care pathways and clinical guidelines
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff
  • Contribute to educational programs and clinical audits
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Acute Medicine and general internal medicine or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Relevant higher degree (PhD, MD, MSc) and teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education (desirable)
