Job Title: Compliance and Payroll Expert

About the Role:
We require a skilled Compliance and Payroll Expert who can review and implement changes to our payroll processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have previous payroll experience and be proficient in using payroll software systems such as Merit Software.

Main Responsibilities:
* Review and update our payroll processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager and Registrations Team to foster efficient processes and streamlined communication.
* Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for payroll inquiries, addressing questions directly or escalating to relevant team members as needed.
* Resolve any payroll discrepancies and simplify complex payroll concepts for employees and clients.
* Handle the end-to-end payroll process, from generating trials and journals to creating BACS payment schedules, processing weekly payrolls, handling additional payments, reviewing client billable expenses, and balancing all figures.

Requirements:
* Previous payroll experience is essential, with a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing.
* Strong Excel skills are required for data management and in-depth analysis.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
