Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll cycles.

In this role, you will work closely with the payroll manager and registrations team to foster efficient processes and streamlined communication.

You will also be responsible for data handling and accuracy, prioritizing tasks effectively, and managing a busy inbox with ease.

As a knowledgeable point of contact for payroll inquiries, you will resolve any discrepancies and simplify complex payroll concepts for employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Handling and Accuracy: Import and manage CSV files in the Merit Software payroll system to ensure precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative Operations: Work closely with the payroll manager and registrations team to support smooth payroll cycles.
  • Organised Task Management: Prioritize tasks effectively and manage a busy inbox with ease.
  • Client and Employee Support: Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for payroll inquiries.
  • Problem Solving and Clarity: Resolve any payroll discrepancies and simplify complex payroll concepts for employees and clients.
  • Advanced Excel Use: Apply strong Excel skills for data management and in-depth analysis.
  • Complete Payroll Process Management: Handle the end-to-end payroll process, from generating trials and journals to creating BACS payment schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with previous payroll experience and a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing.

Familiarity with umbrella companies is a plus, but not required.

Able to travel independently due to office location.
