We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at Elm House Surgery in Beckenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to provide exceptional secretarial support to our doctors and nurses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our secretarial service, prioritising workload as necessary, and providing accurate and methodical support to our clinical staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering telephone enquiries in a prompt, efficient, and helpful manner
  • Managing patient tasks, prioritising where necessary
  • Using digital dictation systems to type referrals, clinical letters, and reports
  • Liaising with hospitals and outside agencies regarding appointments, correspondence, and test results
  • Dealing with patient enquiries professionally and sympathetically

In order to succeed in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You should also have sound IT skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a supportive working environment that encourages learning and development.
