Job Summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a prison healthcare setting. As a Level 6 Bank Prison Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care to patients in a male prison.

About the Role

This is a flexible working opportunity that offers a range of benefits, including weekly pay and NHS pension scheme membership. As a Nurse Practitioner in this role, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a prison setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients in a prison setting, including medication management, wound care, and phlebotomy
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Qualified nursing experience, preferably in a prison or secure environmentCompetency in dispensing medication, wound dressings, and phlebotomyImmunisation and vaccination trainingVaried nursing experience in a challenging but fulfilling area
