Key responsibilities for the Senior Nurse Practitioner include:
- Identifying personal learning needs through performance evaluations and establishing annual objectives that enhance service delivery and improvement.
- Enhancing clinical and leadership competencies through both in-house and formal training to ensure proficiency in all care aspects.
- Understanding all facets of clinical governance and risk management concerning the advanced role of the nurse practitioner.
- Maintaining professional credibility by engaging in continuous professional development and pursuing necessary training and education to uphold the highest standards of evidence-based clinical skills.
- Conducting educational sessions and presentations for staff groups; participating in the training and education of colleagues regarding the roles within the urgent care center.
- Adapting and evolving the Nurse Practitioner role, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to expand responsibilities as needed.
Preferred skills and experience for this role include:
- Experience working independently in urgent care, pre-hospital, or community settings, with evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
- Significant experience in primary care or emergency/Minor Injuries Units.
- Collaboration with the service manager and clinical lead to ensure robust clinical delivery.
The successful candidate for the Senior Nurse Practitioner position will receive a competitive salary ranging from £48,000 to £58,000 annually.
