About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Referral and Assessment Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

Job Description:

  • To assess the needs of children and families referred to our service using sound professional judgment and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
  • To develop and implement effective care plans that meet the assessed needs of children and families.
  • To work collaboratively with other professionals, including health, education, and police, to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
  • To provide support and advice to families to help them access services and resources that meet their needs.
  • To represent the local authority at court hearings and other meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying areas of need and developing tailored care plans.
  • To build strong relationships with families, providing emotional support and guidance to ensure they receive the necessary services.
  • To collaborate with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families, sharing best practices and expertise to drive improvement.
  • To communicate effectively with families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • To stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and policies, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A valid Social Work England registration.
  • Excellent assessment and report-writing skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
