About the Opportunity

South and Vale District Council is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to support our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial business partnering services to selected council departments, assisting with Year End financial accounting, and preparing specific statutory government returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a Finance Business Partnering service to one or more services within the council
  • Attend service area team and management meetings on a regular basis and provide finance updates where necessary
  • Build and maintain technical knowledge in accordance with professional standards and guidelines

Requirements

  • Strong all-round accounting knowledge
  • Confident with ERP finance systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Education to A Level or equivalent
  • AAT Qualified (Grade 7) or working towards the later stages of the qualification (Grade 6)
