A Papermill Operative is sought to join the Manufacturing team at a leading global manufacturer of paper products in Hamilton, LE5. This challenging role involves safely moving Parent Reels from the end of the paper machine to the Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport wrapped and labelled Parent Reels from the paper machine to the Warehouse
- Prepare, move, and position the Parent Reels into the wrapper (if required by site layout)
- Weigh, wrap, and label Parent Reels as necessary
- Record details in the stock management system
- Apply quality stickers in line with quality procedures
- Operate Forklifts and Clamp trucks safely; conduct daily checks and report faults
- Operate other equipment according to training guidelines
- Maintain equipment functionality as per work instructions
- Assist with operating and cleaning the paper machine when trained
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times
- FLT Licence (Forklift Truck)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
Estimated Salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum
