Maintenance Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Venatu Consulting Ltd. As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for refurbishing and fitting out modular buildings to the highest possible standards.

About the Role
  • Refurbish and fit out modular buildings to meet client requirements.
  • Work on-site in our yard, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Participate in ongoing training and upskilling opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Shadow an experienced team member for the first few months to gain hands-on experience and receive guidance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Painting and decorating internal and external building surfaces.
  • Basic joinery, including partition walls, doors, and windows.
  • Plumbing duties, including sink and toilet assembly, waste and drainage, and copper and push-fit fittings.
  • Electrics, including socket installation, heater and lighting setup, and first-fix preparation under the supervision of an electrician.
  • General fit-out and refurbishment of buildings on and off-site.
  • Installation and dismantling of modular buildings.
  • Maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Reporting any damages or issues to the team.
  • Assisting with the movement of buildings on and off-site.
  • Following waste management policies.
  • Performing any other duties as required by management.
  • Working with power tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Maintenance or handyman experience.
  • Advantageous if you hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification.
  • Experience working with power tools.
