About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff, as well as maintaining the overall presentation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular health and safety checks to create a safe environment for everyone, including fire alarm, water flushing, and bed safety checks.
- Effective communication is essential in this role, as you will regularly engage with residents, their families, and colleagues as part of your daily activities.
- Liaise with contractors, coordinate their services, and ensure that work is completed to a high standard.
- Occasional visits to other facilities may be necessary to provide cover or as part of planned maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Collaboration is key to a positive environment for residents and contributes to a thriving facility.
- Practical skills in recognizing and performing minor repairs are important, such as basic plumbing skills and DIY experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of health and safety protocols is essential, with familiarity with Legionella disease being beneficial.
- A valid driver's license and access to personal transportation are necessary requirements.
- The role will include use of an iPad and/or laptop, along with compliance applications that you will use daily.
