Job Overview

KPMG-UnitedKingdom is seeking a highly skilled Global IFRS Guidance Expert to join our International Standards Group (ISG). As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing global guidance, communications, and training related to IFRS Accounting Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across the KPMG global network to develop comprehensive high-quality publications and guidance on IFRS Accounting Standards.
  • Lead teams to enhance the depth and breadth of ISG and KPMG networks' technical knowledge by interpreting and applying IFRS Accounting Standards.
  • Develop KPMG positions on interpreting and applying IFRS Accounting Standards, remaining abreast of accounting developments, and providing feedback to the International Accounting Standards Board.
  • Contribute to KPMG thought leadership by monitoring sector developments and leading the preparation of internal and external communications/publications.
  • Respond to technical consultations and informal queries from KPMG member firms, identify emerging issues, conduct research, and develop technical guidance.
  • Develop and deliver training, review internal/external training materials for technical accuracy, and assist with managing one or more Global Topic Teams.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) and proven technical competence with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and ability to explain complex ideas simply.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience preparing internal and/or external communications, and ability to build and develop networks.
  • Experience in a senior technical role, handling complex technical accounting matters, and working with senior leadership.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
