We are a leading provider of case management services for individuals with acquired brain injuries, spinal or catastrophic injuries, and associated disabilities or conditions.
Job Title: Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide support to a gentleman in his late 60's living independently in the Penrith area.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the client and promoting independence with daily living tasks, including household chores, personal care, shopping, and regularly going out in the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the client with daily living tasks and promote independence
- Assist with household chores, personal care, and shopping
- Accompany the client on regular outings in the local community
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the client
- Work collaboratively with the client's family and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
Requirements:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (experience of driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle preferable but not essential)
- Experience of delivering therapy programmes (desirable but full training will be provided)
- Dependable and professional with a positive attitude and ability to motivate and engage
- Experience of working with adults with physical and cognitive impairment (essential)
- Previous experience working with clients with brain injury (preferable)
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS and enrol in the DBS update service
