Housekeeping Assistant

Job Summary:
Cycas Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Staybridge Suites in Newcastle. As a key member of our Housekeeping Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service assigned rooms or public areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Ensure that work is accurate throughout and to the highest standard.
- Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements.
- Greet and acknowledge guests.
- Respond to feedback, special requests, and act to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Notify Guest Services when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
- Report any room unable to be serviced to your line manager according to established procedures.
- Report all maintenance issues on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and follow through to get optimum results.
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
- Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
Requirements:
- Display excellent team working skills; work well in a team environment and motivate co-workers to sustain exceptional levels of performance.
- Ability to follow brand standards and deliver cleanliness required by the company.
- Aware of HK SOPs, H&S procedures, including COSHH.
- Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize the needs of the department and effectively manage resources and time.
