Museum Professional Opportunity

The Association of Academic Museums & Galleries is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill this critical role. As Associate Director, you will be responsible for driving educational programs, artistic initiatives, and engagement goals that enhance the museum's academic mission.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of short- and long-range educational goals, working collaboratively with the senior leadership team.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of interpretive materials, ensuring they engage audiences and meet academic standards.
  • Cultivate partnerships with academia, promoting innovative projects and research initiatives.
  • Represent the museum locally, regionally, and nationally, showcasing its expertise and value.
  • Evaluate educational programs, providing actionable insights to inform future developments.
Essential Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, with a strong academic background.
  • Familiarity with higher education institutions and their needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in diverse environments, promoting inclusivity and respect.
  • Skilled in project management, with a track record of delivering results under pressure.
  • Additional requirements: emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a passion for lifelong learning.

Estimated salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per year.
