Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Front of House Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Controller and coordinating internal IT queries with our external service provider.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Support:
- Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.
- Process payroll and liaise with HR on payroll-related matters as needed.
- Liaise with external parties for outsourced financial functions and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Deal with basic financial queries and requests from affiliated restaurants.
- IT Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal IT queries, troubleshooting basic IT issues and escalating more complex problems to the external IT provider.
- Coordinate with the external IT service provider to ensure timely resolution of IT issues and technology implementation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role, with relevant accounting qualifications (e.g. AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or similar).
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and IT professionals.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50 or 200 preferable) and IT service management tools.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and best usage practices in IT security.
- Experience working in the multi-site hospitality, restaurant or retail industry.
