Job Opportunity:

The Department of Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work full-time for 24 months on a research project focused on the cognitive and neural effects of bi-/multilingualism engagement over the lifespan, especially related to healthy aging and/or aging with neurodegeneration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct empirical studies on language acquisition/learning, linguistic processing, executive functioning, and/or brain structure and function.
  • Work with EEG (resting state, ERP, and/or TFR) methodologies and analysis.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of academics from the Departments of Linguistics & English Language, Psychology, and others.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and publications.
