Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our team at Lancaster University and contribute to the AI4ME project. This exciting EPSRC & BBC-funded Prosperity Partnership aims to address key challenges associated with the creation and delivery of personalized video content at scale.

About the Project:

AI4ME brings together the BBC, Lancaster University, and the University of Surrey to design entirely new types of media experiences that can adapt to individual preferences, accessibility requirements, devices, and location. The project builds upon the rapid changes underway within the industry in how media experiences are produced and delivered, from television and films to video games.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of novel systems-building technology and intelligent networked systems that operate across the cloud to edge continuum.
  • Collaborate with the project team to design and deliver personalized object-based media experiences at scale.
  • Work on solving the delivery challenge for personalized media, leveraging expertise in systems or networking.
  • Contribute to the development of a hyper-adaptive end-to-end delivery infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Background in systems or networking.
  • Experience in research fields related to the project.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
