Job Summary

Hestia is seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our Domestic Abuse team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals affected by domestic abuse.

About the Position:

  • You will work closely with women and children, providing emotional and practical support to help them rebuild their lives and achieve independence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, stakeholders, and partner organizations to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Carry out comprehensive needs assessments and create personalized support plans to address the unique challenges faced by service users.
  • Participate in outreach activities, including evening shifts, to engage with service users and promote our services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to GDPR guidelines and organizational policies.

About You:

  • You will be an empathetic and flexible individual, with prior experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably those involved in sex work.
  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in using IT systems and software.
  • A valid driving license is required for this role, enabling you to participate in outreach activities.
  • You will have a strong commitment to empowering individuals affected by domestic abuse and a willingness to work collaboratively with other agencies.

Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 per annum, dependent on experience
