Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Employment Advisor to support job seekers in gaining new skills and securing employment. The successful candidate will work with a caseload of customers who may face multiple barriers to work, including drug/alcohol problems, ex-offender status, and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to job seekers to help them achieve their employment goals.
- Work with customers to identify their strengths and areas for development.
- Develop and implement personalized action plans to help customers overcome barriers to work.
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide a comprehensive support network for customers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or ex-offenders.
- Knowledge of the local job market and employment opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
