Cardiothoracic Anaesthetist Opportunity

The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and proactive Cardiothoracic Anaesthetist to join its team. The successful candidate will work within the integrated cardiac services, which includes Cardiothoracic Critical Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and a comprehensive Cardiology Department.

About the Role

The Cardiothoracic Unit is a hard working and cohesive group of clinical professionals providing high quality care for the people of Staffordshire and surrounding areas. The successful applicant will join a team of 10 Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists, working within the integrated cardiac services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic care for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the cardiothoracic surgery team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors and medical students.
Requirements
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Experience working as a Fellow or an Advanced Trainee in CT Anaesthesia.
  • TOE certification.
