About the Role

As a key member of the UCAS team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial and Estates departments in achieving their business objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects and initiatives that align with the company's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Commercial and Estates team's strategic objectives to ensure effective prioritization and programming of projects.
  • Ensure that all Commercial and Estates projects and programmes have the necessary authorization to proceed, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Estates team to guarantee the timely and budget-friendly delivery of new products or services, meeting the required standards of quality.
  • Establish and maintain formal reporting arrangements to keep the Executive team and senior stakeholders informed about the progress of Commercial and Estates activities and programmes.
  • Support the development and implementation of Procurement management policies and processes to ensure the company's interests are protected and its influence is managed effectively.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in Portfolio, Programme, or Project Management, with a proven track record of using various formal methodologies.
  • Significant experience in managing third-party suppliers in the delivery of project services.
  • Proven ability to lead project and programme management teams, with a strong focus on motivating and developing team members.
  • Excellent planning and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and commercial organizations.
  • Advanced technical understanding of programme management principles, including techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes, including risk management.
