Environmental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Hammersmith & Fulham Council. As a Public Protection Food Safety Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our residents by enforcing food safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-risk food hygiene inspections, including categories A and B, to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Perform FHRS rescore revisits to monitor and improve food safety practices.
- Respond to service requests and investigate food complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Investigate infectious disease notifications and take necessary enforcement action.
- Monitor and manage follow-up actions, including revisits and administrative tasks, to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Qualifications and experience in line with the Food Standards Agency Competency Framework, such as a degree in Environmental Health or EHRB registration.
- Able to demonstrate Core Competency requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice and provide CPD records.
- Up-to-date professional, legal, and technical knowledge to support the operation of the Teams' food safety functions.
