About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Hammersmith & Fulham Council. As a Public Protection Food Safety Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and visitors.

As a Food Safety and Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for conducting high-risk food hygiene inspections, investigating food complaints, and taking enforcement action when necessary. You will also be involved in monitoring and managing follow-up actions, ensuring that necessary works are properly executed in accordance with good practice.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Food Standards Agency Competency Framework and be able to demonstrate your ability to meet the Core Competency requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice. You will also need to have up-to-date professional, legal, and technical knowledge to support the operation of our team's food safety functions.
