Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer/Public Protection Food Safety Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-risk food hygiene and food standards inspections, taking enforcement action, and monitoring follow-up actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out high-risk food hygiene and food standards inspections, including category A and B inspections.
  • Take enforcement action, accurately draft Improvement/Emergency Hygiene Prohibition notices.
  • Monitor and manage follow-up actions, checking works in progress and ensuring necessary works are completed.
  • Hold qualifications and experience in line with the Food Standards Agency Competency Framework, such as a Degree in Environmental Health or EHRB Registered.
  • Demonstrate Core Competency requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice and provide CPD records.
  • Have up-to-date professional, legal, and technical knowledge to support the operation of the team's food safety functions.
