I am currently working exclusively with one of the Cambridge colleges on the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity which will support the Head of Finance in managing a team of 3.

This role will manage a small team including a Management Accountant and two ledger clerks. The purpose of this position will also be to work closely with non-finance stakeholders on budgeting and forecasting and will take the lead on the annual budget process and reforecasting projections.

Main Duties:

  • Take responsibility for delivering all aspects of the college's management accounting including cost management, cash flow management, variance analysis, budgeting & forecasting.
  • Lead the finance transactional processing including management of income, student billings, cashbook, and accounts payable functions.
  • Review the financial ledgers ensuring accuracy.
  • Review the team's month-end work, including balance sheet reconciliations, cost centre reports, funds, donations accounting, and major project reporting.
  • Lead on the annual budget process ensuring income, cost management, and operating cash flow management.

Requirements:

You will need to have significant post-qualification experience in financial and management accounting and previous experience of staff management.

This role offers a salary between £50,000 - £55,000 alongside an excellent benefits package.
