Are you a highly motivated and experienced Bioinformatics specialist looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for advancing our understanding of human health and longevity? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Emles BioVentures as the Lead Bioinformatician.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing our data function, contributing to our research programmes, and developing bioinformatics software, pipelines, and platforms. You will work closely with a scientifically diverse team, covering different scientific disciplines and data sets, to analyze large metabolomic and microbiome datasets and create insights into microbial ecology and communities.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Metabolomics or related field, and extensive experience in large-scale metabolomic and microbiome data analysis. You will also have demonstrable experience of bioinformatics programming languages (Python, R etc.) and ability to handle large data sets and workflow management.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities:

  • Develop pipelines for the processing of data generated from Whole Genome Sequencing and Metabolomics.
  • Analyze large metabolomic and microbiome datasets to create insights into microbial ecology and communities.
  • Contribute to research programmes through the analysis of data and reporting of findings.
