Job Title: Mechanical Test Engineer

BSI is seeking a skilled Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of gas-related products.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on testing and validation of gas products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of gas products to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any product safety concerns.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal stakeholders on gas product safety and testing.
Requirements:
  • BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in a discipline related to mechanical engineering, chemistry, or physics.
  • At least 2 years of experience in testing gas products/appliances in a lab environment or for a manufacturer.
  • Awareness of BS EN standards relating to domestic boilers, cookers, and fires, and commercial catering and heating appliances.
